Annette Kellerman Doty was born August 7, 1921 and grew up on a farm in Paint Lick, Kentucky. She was the third of four children born to Jerry and Bessie Doty.

She married John Ashby Green of Danville, Kentucky in 1941. That same year, they moved to Indianapolis where John had spent his formative years. They were blessed with a son, John Anthony, who brought tremendous joy to their lives. John and Annette were married for 60 years and were long-time faithful members of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Annette worked for Banner-Whitehill, Renner Express and General Motors - Allison Division before retiring in 1992. Less than a year into retirement, Annette knew that she wanted to continue to work and officially retired from Broad Ripple High School in 2006.

Annette was a good friend and a good neighbor who loved being around people. Her Race Day and Thanksgiving gatherings were a tradition for family and friends for over 50 years. Her fabulous homemade white cake and rolls were the featured items at these events. Through the years, Annette had many long-time and treasured friends who were loved and considered extended family including The Second Sunday Night Supper Club members.
